Architectural Formwork Panel
Technical Overview: Architectural Formwork Systems
Definition: A temporary support structure (comprising panels, supports, and connectors) designed to shape fresh concrete and support loads until it cures.
Classification by Material:
Plywood Formwork: Cost-effective, easy to cut. Low reuse cycles (5-8).
Steel Formwork: High strength, >30 reuse cycles. Heavyweight, requires anti-rust treatment.
Aluminum Formwork: Lightweight, easy to handle and strip. Provides a high-quality fair-faced concrete finish. 30-50 reuse cycles.
Plastic/Composite Formwork: Lightweight, corrosion-resistant. 50-100+ reuse cycles, ideal for harsh environments.
Key Performance Metrics:
Reuse Cycles: 30-100+ (depending on material)
Load-Bearing Capacity: Bending strength ≥30MPa
Surface Finish: Achieves tolerance of ≤2mm/2m for fair-faced concrete.
